This exciting tour begins with the unforgettable sights in Peru. In historic Lima, the City of the Kings, dine at Café Del Museo in the renowned Larco museum, visit Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas; Pisac market Ollantayambo & Maras, take the Vistadome train to the sacred ruins of Machu Picchu, stay in a private Forest Reserve to see forest, gardens, the birdlife and other lakeside wildlife like the giant river otters, travel over the magnificent Andes on the luxury sleeper train – the Belmond Andean Explorer – to reach Lake Titicaca, birthplace of the Incas and sail to the man-made floating Uros islands.

Fly from Lima to Iguassu to visit both the Brazilian and the Argentinean side of the world heritage listed Iguassu Falls. Stop at the ’Three Borders where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet.

Rio de Janeiro is next with the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer, world famous beaches, Santa Teresa, the home of artists, painters and sculptors, ride the cable car to Urca Hill with views of Guanbara Bay and Copacabana beach, visit the Rocinha slum, dine and enjoy the Samba show at Plataforma.

On to Argentina’s capital city, Buenos Aires, to experience all this city’s magic, its glamorous neighbourhoods, unique architecture, culture and exciting night life. Enjoy a getaway on the Tigre aboard a typical island launch to explore the channels and steams and the nature of it islands and beautiful riverside villas of the Tigre Delta. Have a Tango lesson, a varied authentic gastronomic dinner and Tango show. Sample the traditional lifestyle of Argentinean ranches, have a traditional national Argentine Asada (BBQ) and Argentinean wines. Discover a 100-year-old rural traditional of folk songs, dances, equestrian activities and marvellous gaucho skills.

Fly to Santiago, Chile. Take the Gondola to view this cosmopolitan city with a stunning and panoramic view from the top of San Cristobal Hill. Visit Plaza de Armas and the Presidential Palace ‘La Moneda’. Cross the fertile Valles de Curacavi and Casablanca, visit a vineyard and sample their famous wines. Onto cultural Valparaiso, a UNESCO declared World Heritage site with its charming picturesque historic port.

Those embarking on the optional cruise will transfer to Valparaiso pier, while the remaining travellers will return to Santiago for their return flight to Sydney.
